Everything you need to know about AI Koder's products, pricing, and how to get the most out of them.
Account, data, and general questions
AI Koder is a suite of AI-powered developer tools that bridges the gap between ideas and implementation. It includes three products: Spec Builder for generating technical specifications, Plan Builder for creating PRDs and project plans, and SEO Scanner for auditing website SEO health. All outputs are structured for direct use with AI coding agents or human teams.
AI Koder is built for developers, indie hackers, startup founders, and product managers who want to move faster from idea to code. It's especially useful when working with AI coding assistants — Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or similar — that perform best with clear, structured input rather than vague prompts.
Yes. You must sign up to use any AI Koder product. After creating an account you purchase a token bundle, and tokens are deducted from your balance each time you generate a spec, plan, or SEO scan. Sign up with Google, GitHub, or email.
Yes. Your specifications, plans, and scan results are stored securely and accessible only to you. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. Shared documents use access-controlled links that you can revoke at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
AI Koder uses OpenRouter to route requests to top LLMs including models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others. The active model is selected by our team based on quality and cost. You can see which model is in use on each generation.
Generating and working with technical specs
You describe your app idea in plain language. The AI then asks targeted clarifying questions to resolve ambiguities — things like your target users, key flows, and technical constraints. Once answered, it streams a comprehensive markdown specification covering architecture, data models, API design, file structure, and a phased implementation roadmap. The whole process typically takes 2–5 minutes.
By default, a spec includes: Project Overview, User Stories & Requirements, Technical Architecture, Data Models & Schema, API Design, File & Folder Structure, Authentication & Authorisation, Third-party Integrations, Implementation Phases, and Deployment & DevOps. You can enable or disable any section and provide per-section context before generating.
Yes. Every spec has a built-in AI chat interface that has full context of your document. You can ask it to expand a feature, change the tech stack, restructure a section, or add new requirements — and the spec updates live. You can also edit the document directly in the rich-text editor.
That's exactly what it's designed for. The generated markdown is structured so AI coding agents can follow it section by section. Paste or import it into Claude Projects, Cursor, Copilot Workspace, or any agent as a project specification or system prompt. The file structure and phased roadmap sections are especially useful for step-by-step implementation.
AI Koder is framework-agnostic. Specify any stack — Next.js, Laravel, FastAPI, Rails, Flutter, and so on — and the spec will reflect your choices. If you leave the stack open, it suggests sensible defaults based on your use case.
You can generate a shareable public link from the spec editor — recipients can view the spec without an account. For export, use the toolbar to download as Markdown (.md), PDF, or Word (.docx). Exports include all sections and preserve heading hierarchy for easy import into other tools.
PRDs, project plans, and sharing
Plan Builder turns your idea or existing spec into a structured Product Requirements Document (PRD). It generates user stories with MoSCoW prioritisation, feature specifications, a milestone timeline with owner assignments, a risk assessment matrix, revenue projections, and measurable success metrics — all in one exportable document.
Yes. If you already have a spec from Spec Builder, you can reference it when creating a plan. The AI uses the spec context to generate a plan aligned with your technical decisions and feature scope.
Yes. Plans can be shared via a link protected by a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to the recipient's email. Recipients can view or — if you enable it — edit the plan. You can revoke or regenerate the access link at any time.
Yes. Plan Builder includes a template library with pre-structured plans for common product types — SaaS apps, mobile apps, APIs, and more. Templates give you a starting point that the AI then customises to your specific idea.
URL audits and SEO reports
SEO Scanner audits any public URL across 8 scored categories: Technical SEO, On-Page Optimisation, Content Quality, Meta & Open Graph tags, Structured Data / Schema.org, Page Speed signals, Mobile Friendliness, and Internal Linking. It extracts 50+ individual signals and scores each category out of 10.
Quick Wins highlights the highest-ROI SEO fixes that can be completed in under an hour — things like missing meta descriptions, incorrect canonical tags, or absent alt attributes. It's prioritised so you or your AI coding agent can tackle the most impactful issues first.
Yes. Scan results can be exported as Markdown, PDF, Word, or as a structured AI agent task list. The task list format is designed to be pasted directly into an AI coding agent as a set of actionable instructions with clear acceptance criteria.
You can scan any publicly accessible URL. Password-protected pages, pages behind login walls, or locally-hosted URLs cannot be scanned. For best results, scan your production or staging URL.
Plans, tokens, and billing
There is no free tier. All features — spec generation, plan building, and SEO scanning — require a token balance. You purchase tokens upfront and they are deducted with each use. Check the Pricing page for current token bundle options.
Every AI Koder feature runs on tokens. You purchase a token bundle upfront — tokens are then deducted from your account balance each time you generate a spec, build a plan, or run an SEO scan. There are no monthly subscriptions and no hidden fees. When your balance runs low, simply purchase another bundle.
We're currently in an early-bird period. The first 100 users get a significantly larger token bundle at the same price — 500k tokens instead of the standard 250k. Check the Pricing page for the latest offer. All purchases are one-time; there are no recurring charges.
No. Once purchased, credits stay in your account indefinitely. There are no monthly resets or expiry dates.
It depends on spec length and the number of clarifying questions answered. A typical spec consumes roughly 10,000–30,000 tokens. A 500k token bundle covers approximately 20–50 full spec generations, though this varies by complexity.
All purchases are final. Credits are consumed as you use paid features and unused credits retain their value indefinitely. If you believe a charge was made in error due to a technical issue on our side, contact us within 7 days and we'll review your case.
Credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
